Scaffold Yard Inventory Specialist

Main Industries


As a Yard Inventory Specialist, will be responsible for maintaining all scaffold assets, fulfilling scaffold asset orders, and safeguarding Main Industries scaffold assets. You will also be responsible for the timely and accurate documentation of each. Your inventory control and documentation responsibilities will be branch based. To satisfactorily fulfill your job description, you will be expected to safely operate a forklift for the loading and unloading of trucks as well as for the general movement and organization of scaffold assets. This will require you to work year-round both indoors and outside in a physically demanding environment. Additionally, you will be expected to perform industry standard preventative maintenance, such as the oiling/breaking of clamps, ladder brackets, screw jacks, etc.  You will be responsible for taking physical inventory counts and keeping track of where Main's scaffold assets are being deployed. Logistics support in arranging shipments, both on Main Ind. trucks and 3rd party freight carriers will be assigned to the yard inventory specialist. A crucial part in your role as a yard inventory specialist is to create and maintain timely and accurate inventory and shipping documents out of the software programs and/or forms supplied to you by Main Ind. Must pass a back-ground check and drug screening, no felonies or misdemeanors dealing with theft, violence or drugs.

Required experience: Two years (2) experience




  • Skills & Qualifications:

    • Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, and walking significant distances
    • Computer literacy is a must as all inventory is tracked electronically
    • Scaffolding inventory management experience, 2 years minimum
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Ability to lift at least 50lbs
    • Valid driver's license
    • Dependable transportation
    • Ability to work outdoors year round


  • Previous scaffolding yard /warehouse
  • CDL (class B)
  • Forklift/Lift experience
  • Experience with Quantify


Job Responsibilities:

  • Surveying scaffold equipment and tools to perform repairs
  • Load/unload all equipment to stage effectively and efficiently
  • Daily compliance with all established safety practices
  • General housekeeping of all company property
  • Comply with all Company & Safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Make deliveries as needed
